POSTED FROM RAWL PRESS RELEASE:
(Rappahannock Animal Welfare League)

Spring has sprung! Come Mix & Mingle for the Mutts (and drink some delightful Gadino Wine!). Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcomed!

Friday, April 13, from 5-8, we hope you can join us at Gadino Cellars! (www.gadinocellars.com)

Noah & Terry Waggener will entertain us for the evening, and we'll have tasty hors d'oeuvres to munch! If the weather is nice, we'll have a bonfire outside.

Wine will be available for purchase at a special rate of $5 a glass.

Gadino Cellars has graciously offered to donate $1 for every glass consumed, and 10% of every bottle sold. We'll also have a door prize of hand-etched wine glasses with the RAWL logo.

We're asking a $10 suggested donation, with all funds of course going to RAWL (www.rawldogs.org).

Should you have any questions about the event, please email laurie.smith@telecommuting.net or contact Stephanie at Gadino Cellars (987-9292).

We hope to see you there!

Walk the Plank 7" Release Partay
- Posted 3/22/12
We'll be supporting our good friends Walk the Plank at their record release show on 3/31 at Fat's in Fairfax. Make it out early to catch our set and snag their killer split 7" with Dead and Gone!

Say-10 RECORDS
- Posted 2/07/12
We're pleased to announce that we've signed to Say-10 Records and we've got a new 7" and full-length on the way. We're nothing but psyched to be working with Adam and his badass label. Rock!!!!!.

Thanks to all that came out to the Guitars For Troops Memorial Benefit Show

An amazing recap of Friday's show with some beautiful pictures. Thanks for this, Jason.

Spontaineous Human Productions

- Posted 5/2/11
If you're from our neck of the woods, you probably know the Callahan family. We came up playing with Dan and Sean's bands and our paths were constantly crossing. While we went on to become rock and neer-do-wells, they went on to become badass Marines. Last week, Sean lost his life in Afghanistan. To honor his life and memory, we're donating a chunk of the proceeds from Friday's show to Guitars4troops, a charity that sends guitars to our fighting men and women overseas. We'll also have a place set up where you can make a donation and send a message to his family and his unit. See you there.

Bunch of new shows being booked for May and June

Keep an eye on the show listings column to the right. We've got a rack of new shows in the works and I'll update the show listing as the details are worked out.

NEW DATE FOR LEFTOVER CRACK show in Baltomore:
- Posted 1/27/11
The show in Baltimore with Leftover Crack has been rescheduled to Friday March 11th. As promised, all previously purchased tickets will be honored at the door. See the column on the right side of this page for more details. Hope to see you there!

Baltimore show with LOC RESCHEDULED to March 2011
- Posted 12/27/10
So... Leftover Crack is snowed in up in NYC. Show tonight is rescheduled for March. We'll get back to you with an exact date. Sorry, everybody.

The Good the Bad and the Leftover Crack
- Posted 12/20/10
Had enough of Holy this and Holy that? The first Monday after Christmas come out to the Ottobar in Baltimore to shake off your good will to all men with LEFTOVER CRACK. It's the first time we've had a chance to play with them since 2006 and it's sure to be a great show. Click the "more details" link below the flyer in the show listings column on the right to purchace tickets in advance.

The New Guy
- Posted 11/01/10
So we were sitting around the other day thinking "You know what this band needs? More yodeling. So we went out and found the best goddamn yodeler you ever did hear. Turns out he's a pretty badass guitar player too. So we asked him to join the band.

Ok, maybe it was a little more involved than that, and maybe we've known and grown to love Luke like a brother since he was knee high to a Marshall (full stack), but the part about him being a badass guitar player is true. So, with no further ado, we present to you the newest and tastiest Daycare Swindler - Lucas Donald!

As you can see he's quite the lady killer too - although he obviously needs a little more refinement in his taste in beverages. Bud Lime? Seriously? WTF?

Wait... I have to update this thing?
- Posted 10/15/10
Just feeling that the web site has been neglected for a while so here's the latest: New album is coming along nicely. So far 7 new songs are just about finished. Come out to a show soon for a preview of some of the new material that's now in regular rotation on the set list.

See you tomorrow night at the Sidebar!

New Merch
- Posted 3/16/10
We're rolling out a new t-shirt at the Fat Tuesday's show. Be the envy of family and friends as you become the first to sport the new DaycareWear. We've also got Testosterosa and The Morning After CDs back in stock.

Farewell to Rae's Place
- Posted 1/19/10
After many years of feeding Sperryville and sundry wayward travelers, Rae is shutting down her restaurant. For those in the know, Rae also hosted many a local musical artist at her place. Come help us, The Hudson Falcons and ID send Rae off in proper style. We'll post dates and times here in a week or so, but look for a riproar of a gig in the 1st half of February.

Locals Only Radio
- Posted 1/14/10
On March 18th we're teaming up with Locals Only Radio at Fat Tuesdays in Fairfax, VA. L.O.R. has been a driving force in the local/indie scene for a long time now and we're psyched to work with 'em. We typically shy away from 21+ gigs, but this one is a rare exception. We've got some cool all-ages gigs in the works. We'll keep you posted. 'Til then, come get your Irish on.

Our Sincere Apologies Regarding
the Marshall Ruritan Show...

- Posted 1/11/10
We offer our most sincere apologies to folks who rolled out to the Marshall show only to see our set cut short. While there was a perfect storm of mishaps that lead to the show falling apart, we'd like to extend an extra adamant "sorry" to anybody that was pushed/kicked/punched by the soundcrew. The Swindlers are in no way associated with these goons. We had no hand in setting up/promoting/running the gig. We were just there to rock and raise some cash for a really good cause. In the future, we're going to have a stronger hand in the way gigs we're on are handled. We're nothing but appreciative of you guys and all the support you've shown us over the years. We want to make good on your entertainment dollar and won't stand for people that get in the way of that again. Thanks and sorry. See you soon!

New Album?
- Posted 12/25/09
Yup. This spring we're heading up to NYC to begin tracking our 6th studio album. We've been hot busy down in the lab and we got a batch of tunes whipped up that we think you'll dig. All 5 guys are tossing songs into the ring so it'll be interesting at the very least.
